Life is all about choices and so is the process of booking your next liveaboard adventure. From choosing your bucket list destination to the thickness of your wetsuit, there are a lot of choices to make along the way. We can’t make those choices for you, but we can help when it comes to choosing the right liveaboard company. We’ve put together five great reasons why you should become a part of the Blue O Two family on your next diving liveaboard holiday.

1. Pioneers of quality Red Sea liveaboard adventures

Divers are a notoriously tough breed but that doesn’t mean they should feel like they’re roughing it on a 1970’s fishing trawler in the North Sea. Back in the ‘good old days’ liveaboards weren’t the floating hotels that they are now. Liveaboards were primarily about getting the divers to the hard-to-reach dive sites and then giving them somewhere to sleep. We wanted to change that view and provide our customers with a far better experience above the water as well as below.

In 2005, Blue O Two reinvented the scuba diving liveaboard experience altogether and we have been leading the way ever since. We introduced larger cabins, Egyptian cotton sheets, in-cabin entertainment, en-suite bathrooms, amazing chefs, highly trained crew, great dive guides, spacious saloons, jacuzzis and so much more. Our goal has always been to create inspirational experiences for you, our customers, and we feel that the liveaboard experience should equal the majesty of your scuba diving experience.

2. Great Customer Service

As a company, our customers are the most important aspect of the business. Without you, we’re nothing. Great customer service is what we strive for.

From your first point of contact with our knowledgeable sales team, the way you’re greeted at your destination airport, all the way through to the way you’re treated on board, we’ve got you covered from start to finish.

It’s the little things that you remember, like a member of the crew knowing your name from a previous trip. Personal touches such as how you like your eggs cooked in the mornings. The friendly staff that help you kit-up and get you back on board after your dive.

When you board one of our vessels, you’re not just another customer, you’re part of the Blue O Two family.

3. An abundance of Industry awards and customer testimonials

We could tell you that our customer service is second to none, but you shouldn’t just take our word for it. The testimonials we’ve received from our happy customers and the 40 awards worldwide are testament that we are doing something right.

We’re hugely proud of our achievements – we’ve won the coveted Diver Awards ‘Liveaboard of the Year’ and ‘Tour Operator of the Year’ multiple times. What makes us even prouder is the fact that these awards were voted for by our customers.

We’ve put our hearts and souls into this business over the years. And it’s all been worthwhile to see our customers enjoy what we do and become part of the Blue O Two family.

4. Responsible Tourism

We love our planet (especially the oceans) and have led the way in making liveaboards more environmentally viable. We have implemented huge changes in the day-to-day running of our business onboard our vessels as well as our offices around the world to ensure we make as little impact on the environment as possible.

We’ve done the obvious things such as becoming single-use plastic-free, changing our office paper to Woodland Trust paper, working with leading charities and organisations such as Bite-Back and Manta Trust, switched to eco-friendly cleaning products onboard the vessels, maximising the resource efficiency of our UK office, training the crew, finding ways to save fuel, carbon neutral promotional printing, organic cotton merchandise, environmentally focused clean-up dive itineraries, car sharing and so much more.

It’s not just about our work day, our staff are passionate about Responsible Tourism and can often be spotted doing weekend beach clean ups, coming up with new solutions to make us even more environmentally friendly, and raising money for organisations leading the charge against ocean pollution.

Diving is awesome and we want future generations to share the same inspirational experiences we’ve had in the ocean. This can only happen if companies like ours step up and not only ‘do our bit’ but push further and fundamentally change the way we think about the environment and how we interact with it as a business long-term.

Our belief is every single company on the planet should be challenging themselves in the production of unnecessary products – especially plastics. Likewise, every single person should be challenging themselves around what they are contributing to improving the plight of plastics in the oceans. Especially people who enjoy spending time on and in the ocean.

5. Being part of the Blue O Two family

When you step on board a Blue O Two liveaboard, you’re not just another customer, you’re one of the family. You’ll soon realise what makes us different from our competitors and why so many divers choose to go on their next liveaboard holiday with us again and again.

Whether it’s your first liveaboard holiday experience, an encounter with a manta ray, exploring a world-famous wreck, seeking out a tiny nudibranch, or relaxing watching the sun set at the end of an eventful day; we want to be with you all the way.

We are as passionate about diving as you are and nothing makes us happier than creating and sharing inspirational experiences with you as a Blue O Two diver.
