Palau is a small country situated in Micronesia, in the northwest Pacific Ocean. It is known as an underwater paradise, diverse and plentiful. It is home to the very small macro and to the very big.
With incredible drift dives, wall dives, macro galore and teeming with big animals, Palau sees divers wanting to come back time after time. With its diving season being all year round, any time is a good time to visit.
Palau’s Shark Sanctuary, a 600,000 Square km area, comparable to the size of France, helps to protect the area from commercial fishing, making it illegal to fish in those waters. As a result, the marine life is rich and abundant. Along with amazing visibility you will be absolutely spoilt for things to see underwater.
On this itinerary you will be enchanted with the magic and variety to be found in Palau. Experiencing famous dive sites such as Jelly Fish Lake, German Channel, Blue Corner, Peleliu Wall and Big Drop-Offs to name a few. Exploring underwater features like blue holes, drop offs, caverns, caves and channels.
You will also get a chance to witness one of the most spectacular natural events on earth, the spawning aggregations of the Bumphead Parrotfish (Bolbomeotpon Muricatum) and the Red Snapper (Lutjanus Bohar).
This certainly is an itinerary for those wanting to experience the many underwater wonders first–hand.
“My favourite itinerary of all time has to be Palau’s Spawning Special – New Moon. The amazing vis and big pelagic – mantas, and especially the sharks. The Palau Shark Sanctuary has protected sharks in its waters for years, which is great to see in such a small nation. Jellyfish lake is a total phenomenon and high on my bucket list. There are so few places to see the fish spawning and Palau is one of them – from the documentaries I’ve seen it just looks spectacular.”

“Just finished a week of diving from the Palau Siren. The crew made everyone feel like family. The food was beyond excellent.”
